American Bred Dogs and the end of the show today

Now we have the American Bred Dogs in the ring, and Carmen is doing his thing. Now that is a great group of dogs.  This place is still full and it is 4:30 with a big class in there.  Each around one time, and that would be all I could do.

Carmen has seven and he goes up to each and looks them in the eye, and pauses in front of each of them. None of the dogs react, although this one is watching him. He doesn't do it to the last one, but goes to the front and tell them to take a lap, one at a time and stop on the other side. There goes Georgie.  Now Kient, then Bill Tank, then Sue Godek, Ken Tank, another and Lenny. I know Another is going to be mad at me, but so are a lot of people.  She does a super job and is showing Joelles Leonardo Windward for Carrie and Oak Smith. The dam is an Asgard dog, so I should know her.  I am such a schmuck at time. (Shut up Paul.)

I did see Oak a while ago, and loved it for the few minutes when he was in front.  Now Carmen takes the dogs one again, now three together.  Lots of bells and whistles. Sort of like a Dell computer.

Now the other three, and Carmen can't get their attention. No, Kent is going out and giving his number to Alex. I hope Kent is OK, but it has been a long show, and he is limping.  It looks like his back.  There they go, Lennie, Alex, Bill and the girl I have to meet.

They go out, I think just to stand, and I see Pat Ayres talking to Lanalee.  There goes the next group, and seven of them in the ring.  I can hardly stand the tension.  Harley Davidson is in the ring. That is what type is all about. He is Paula's dog, with Grace showing him. I don't know if Carmen would like him, but I sure do. Bob Eaton and Dave Rinke are talking to Joe Bahari, and I see Kevin Renolds talking to Kris Fasano and Nancy Hubble.

Carmen is starting this group in individuals.  Harley is first.  He rearranges them and Harley is up there in second or third, and they go out to make room for new dogs.  I see Tish is here, and smiling at everyone. So is Ginnie in pink.  I swear she looks younger every day. How does she do that. There goes a pair, Dania and Lanalee. They have a dog in this group, Thunderbolt.   I don't see him, and maybe he was in the last group. I am such a failure.   Dave Rinke is talking to DD Ardoin and Bill Leonard.  Talk about the Left and the Right.  Bill Tank is talking to Scottie.

Five o'clock and still judging. Maybe this is how they will avoid the Annual Meeting.  I see Ann Schultz and she looks like she is having fun so far.  Bob Eaton is in front of us, and he never seems to sit.  I just saw a dog I like. His name is Park Avenue, a TR's Antonio son.

Kim Schooley ave Rinke. Bobbie Kindy is standing behind Kim and they are all looking for something.  Tedi is talking to Twyla, and the dog I like is one of Twyla's breeding. He never looked that good to me before.  I talked to Gail Sprock today, and she is doing well.  That is a relief to me.  If Carmen can streach this out, we won't be able to have the Annual Meeting, and that might be a good thing. There goes Yolanda, and the crowd seems to have lost interest.  The numbers are all strange and with different markings, so we can't know for sure who is who, or is that who is whom?

Now they are lined up in the middle of the ring, with the other side away from the crowd. Carmen is walking down the line looking at these eight, and now he goes to the front and tell them to take a lap, JR is in the lead, for now, one at a time.  I loved Elmo in the Stud Dog Class and the Elmo T-shirts.  He is a good looking German shepherd, and I wonder if he will be shown in Specials. And Carmen brings them to the center and turned to our right, so we get to see the handlers from behind. I have never seen that before, but Carmen is now walking down the line and stares them in the eyes and none of the dogs seem to care, I can't talk for the handlers, and he pulls JR to the front, then Lorie, Mike, Jack and brings the rest up to the group, still stacked to the right.

There they go again, now two at a time.  DON'T FORGET THE LISTER'S PARTY AT 8:00 AT THE MCKEY CENTER ON FRIDAY NIGHT.  And now the last four, agains stacked so we can't see the dogs.  He moves Sergio into Best of Dump.  And he takes the group and isn't watching them, so they sneak out of the ring but stand around for later.
Now his other group, with seven more, led by Georgie, Nancy, Ken, Lenny, Alex, Bill, Unknown handler and now there are three groups, all in the ring. Carmen goes the the first group, and looks them over and pulls the first four, and looks now at thesecond group, and is gesturing and they stack. There are four in the corner, four in the middle, the resst stacked first a group of five, then a group of seven.  All stacked to the left, and he sends five to the corner, and now looks at his last group, there sare nine, and he pulls three of them, leaving ten in the ring stacked.

He tells them one pass around and if I understand it is the last pass for them, they go off one at a time, and not much enthusiasm from the spectators.   now stack again, but now in front of us, and two more to go.  The handlers earned their money today. Everyone did get a good look, however, and no one can say they were ignored, but all of them are sent to the Big Release In Colorado.

Carmen now has 16 left and it is five thirty.  And there they go, one at a time. These are in the order they came in, after he arranged the groups, so I think there is some work to do.  Some dogs are liked, and some seem to bask in silence. Paula's dog, Harley is still in there. I know she is thrilled and so am I.

Carmen is now walking down the line and looking at each of them. He seems to walk fairly fast, it doesn't seem to take him long to look at them, but he does look them in the eyes.  And now he walks to the front and starts to place them, First is JR, the Georgie, Ken, Lennie, and Christy, Mike, Sue and a young boy and Scott at the end, the rest get a break, and I know they welcome it.  He has ten, and he takes the first three. I think first is In Cahoots, but we aren't sure.

Now the next three, and four standing off to the other wall, and now Carmen says take the rest of them and the four get another pass.  Sheryl Brockett is working hard, and her first dog, goes into the front, and Carmen pulls some from the end and talks to the handlers and gives them some direction, and there go the first three and Carmen sends them t the corner to stand outside. Then he sends two more around. The first group is still in the ring.  Now these two come back and he sends them to the corner with his first grou, and now there go another two, and the crowd likes that one. It's Full Throttle. Now his next two and they are good ones too. But now a lot of crowd support.  Carmen takes the last two, but doesn't give direction to the other two, so they go join the others.  Everyone is stacking and Carmen walks over to them. Now Carmen walks the line and stares them in the eyes and moves quikly down the line.  He only takes a few seconds with each dog, and the crowd is shouting for their favorite and he doesn't seem to notice. Now he stands back walking backwards, and looks at his lineup. They stand and pose, and he starts to p;oint. JR back to the front, then the one the crowd loved in second with Georgie, then, Lenny and  Christy and then Nancy.

He takes the first three, and lots of support for the, and not sure which one is the crowd favorite, and now the next three, and the last four.  What a workout for these handlers.  They line up again, and Carmen wants to take them down and back again.  Seems sort of late for that to me, but what do I know?

Yes, Georgie is a crowd favorite, and now the third one.  I think I am too old for dog shows.  He is at the far end of the ring, 110 by 230, so I can't see much. The crowd loves the young kid, and it many be just who he is, and Carmen moves him into fourth and the crowd goes wild.  And we thought we didn't make a difference. He didn't bother with the last three, and tells them to stack.  They do as they were told, and nowhe says to bring out the first four and looks at them standing.   And he sends them back in line and takes them around.  All the class together, and YES, that's it.

First was Shadow Acres & Castlehills In Cahoots, Second was Trafalgar's Full Throttle, Third was Kaleef's Iot's All About Me, and Fourth is Samuri's Jett Jackson.

It was a long day, I am about done, and will try to make it to the meeting. I will let everyone know what happens.  Lew has done a great job of keeping up the smiles, and after all that went on, we are ready for another day. Thanks for listening.
